Day 26: Halloween Tag Game

I know I just did one of these, but I really like these and it’s leading up to Halloween perfectly.

As usual, I will be crediting the actual creators of these tags at the end of this post so check them out.

On to the questions!

1. What is your favourite horror movie?

The original Friday the 13th.

2. If you were in a horror movie, how far do you think you would get? (Five minutes, halfway, all the way to the end credits…?)

I think I’d probably get all the way to the credits. If I make it to the end of the credits, however… that is the question is it not?

3. Favourite scary video game?

I really liked watching playthroughs of ‘Until Dawn’. I really liked that one because it had to do with Wendigos which are unbelievably interesting creatures and absolutely terrifying.

4. Favourite scary story?

I can’t think of one that isn’t a horror novel. But I do like the true scary/creepy encounters.

5. What’s one unusual thing that you’re afraid of?

My own imagination. There’s nothing in the shadows or unseen corners. I put things there.

6. What you’re first memory of Halloween?

I think my earliest memory is visiting my Nana and eating candy with her.

7. What’s your favourite Halloween memory?

Driving around with a friend, her boyfriend, and her father looking at decorated houses and listening to her father’s stories about messing around when he was a kid.

8. Best Halloween costume you’ve had?

I really liked what I did a couple of years ago when I dressed up as a broken china doll.

9. Worst Halloween costume you’ve had?

I tried to be Jeff the killer, from the creepypasta, one year. And I couldn’t, because the white face paint, make up stuff that we had irritated my face and burned.

Which Is Scarier:

10. Werewolves or Vampires?

Werewolves.

11. Ghosts or Zombies?

Ghosts.

12. Creepy dolls or creepy clowns?

Both.

13. Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Micheal Myers, or Leatherface?

Micheal Myers.

And that’s the end. So, I’m going to tag all of you who are reading this who would like to do this.

Thank you so much for joining me for day 26 of my Blogtober challenge, which is where I post a fall or Halloween themed post every day for the month of October. If you enjoyed this,  come back tomorrow and see what I have for you then. And, if it’s after the 31st, you have all these posts to look through as you see fit.

Thank you again for joining me, I hope you have a great day/afternoon/evening/night, and I will see you next time.

Day 25: Halloween This or That

I’m doing another tag game! Why? I really like these and I only had a number of ideas that I could do and some of them ended up being very similar. But tags can mix things up a lot. I should have maybe done a little more planning, but I kind of did this as a spur of the moment sort of thing. Just roll with it, please.

So, today I’m doing a Halloween themed This or That tag. This tag, in case you aren’t familiar with it, is basically you choosing between one of two options given to you, and then you tag people. Pretty standard for tags.

As usual, I will be linking to the original post and creator at the end of this post.

Now, without further ado, onto the questions!

1. Chocolate Candy or Fruity Candy?

Chocolate.

2. Witches or Vampires?

Witches.

3. Trick or Treat?

Treat.

4. Halloween Part or Scary Movies?

Scary movies, I’m not a big fan of people.

5. Skeletons or Zombies?

Skeletons.

6. Trick-or-Treat or Hand Out Candy?

I’d actually rather hand out candy because I then I’d be able to watch my scary movies while eating candy of my own.

7. Hay Ride or Corn Maze?

I’ve gone through a corn maze before, so I think I’d pick a hayride just for the experience.

8. Scary Costume or Funny Costume?

Scary. Preferably accurate and scary.

9. Pumpkin Seeds or Pumpkin Pie?

Pumpkin pie! I love pumpkin pie!

10. Bottle Feed a Baby Zombie or Walk Alone Through a Dark Forest?

Walk along through a dark forest. And I’d come out the other side in a panic attack. I doubt there’s anything in there that could or would hurt me, but my mind WILL put things in there. I’d end up psyching myself out more than anything.

11. Bats or Black Cats?

Bats. I’m not a big cat person.

12. Pumpkin Spice or Hot Chocolate?

Hot chocolate. Especially if there are peppermint candies in the mug giving flavour too.

13. Celebrate in your neighborhood or at the Mall?

My neighborhood. I’m a homebody anyway so I’d rather stay there.

And now I want to tag all of you guys who are reading this who want to do it.

Thank you so much for joining me for day 25 of my Blogtober challenge, which is where I post a fall or Halloween themed post every day for the month of October. If you liked what you read here today, come back tomorrow to see what I have for you then. Or, if it’s after the 31st, then all of these posts are up and you can look through as you like.

Thank you again for joining me, I hope you have a great day/afternoon/evening/night, and I will see you next time.

Day 24: Spooky Halloween Tag!

I really like doing tag games, especially Halloween themed ones. As per usual I will be linking the original post at the end of this. I am just using them, all credit should go to the creators of these tags.

This one is called The Spooky Halloween Tag. It’s thirty questions long, so if you want to stick through all f this you might want to grab yourself a drink.

1. Favourite horror or Halloween themed song?

The first one that comes to mind is ‘Monster Mash’ by Bobby Pickett. But then there’s also ‘Thriller’ by Micheal Jackson. So, either of those I guess.

2. Name something you wouldn’t want to run into in a dark forest or in an abandoned building.

The first thing that comes to mind is anything paranormal. But then a clown or a giant spider would also be horrible.

3. Have you ever played with an Ouija Board?

No. And I have no plans to ever either.

4. Favourite horror monster or villain?

Micheal Myers, and swamp monsters.

5. The creepiest thing that’s ever happened while you were alone?

Something that I’ve mostly blocked out is, when I was a kid we lived in this place that wasn’t all that great. And in my room, I had seen these disembodied shrunken head looking things. I wish I could give you more details on it, but that’s really all I remember. Like a lot of things from when I was a kid, I blocked it out.

6. If you were dared to spend the night in a ‘haunted house’, would you do it?

It depends what we’re talking about.

‘Haunted house’ in terms of like a carnival attraction, sure. I think that could be fun.

If we’re referring to a ‘haunted house’ in terms of a place that has either had someone die in it or has had weird happenings going on in it. It would really depend. If I could go in first and walk around, feel if there is an evil aura in the house or not. And, if there’s not, I would. If there is, I would not. I would run out of that house like a bat out of hell.

7. Are you superstitious?

Very.

8. Do you ever see figures in your peripheral vision?

Not figures, no. Sometimes I will see, or think I see, shadows or movements. A lot of the times it’s actually just my hair in the way or a bug. Sometimes it’s nothing at all. But I do see things. Just not necessarily people.

9. Wich urban legend scares you the most?

I’m not sure if you would consider this to be an urban legend, but Wendigos and Skinwalkers absolutely terrify me.

10. Do you prefer gore or thrillers?

Thrillers.

11. Do you believe in multiple dimensions or worlds?

Yes.

12. Ever made a potion of any sort?

No, but I have dried my own herbs and made my own teas before.

13. Do you get scared easily?

I get paranoid easily, but not scared.

14. Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

No. And I don’t want to.

15. Do you believe in demons/the devil?

I believe in evil in this world in a physical form. Whether I would call them demons or devils is up to debate.

16. You’re home alone but you hear footsteps in your house, what do you do?

First and foremost, hope it’s one of my dogs. If it’s not, probably get the hell out and call the cops with my phone over at my neighbor’s house. If I can’t do that, lock myself in the bathroom with my dogs and call the cops.

17. If you got trapped in one scary movie, which would you choose?

I’d probably pick a Friday the 13th movie. I really like slashers, and I feel like I would actually survive. Mostly because I would probably end up staying the hell away from Crystal Lake, and I would avoid at all costs antagonizing Jason, and do my best to get the hell out of there if I was stuck there.

18. If you could only wear one Halloween costume for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Probably a witch.

19. Would you ever go to a graveyard at night?

I would. They can be very peaceful. Very rarely do you ever hear of haunted graveyards or cemeteries. People’s bodies are laid to rest there, it doesn’t mean their spirits are bound there. So I wouldn’t mind it.

20. In a zombie apocalypse, what is your weapon of choice?

An ax I would think.

21. Would you rather go to a Halloween party or go trick or treating?

Trick or treating.

22. You’re in a horror movie. Are you the final girl, the first to die, the comic relief, the skeptic, the smart one, or the killer?

I feel like I could fall into one of three categories here. Either the final girl, the smart one or the killer. One of those.

23. Do you have to watch something happy after watching a horror movie so you can go to sleep?

No. Either I can or I can’t go to sleep. Whether I watch a horror movie or not has nothing to do with it.

24. Whilst watching a scary movie, are you the person who yells at the characters, the person with their eyes covered the whole time or the person who falls asleep?

I yell at the people. Especially if I’m watching a horror movie in my living room or something with my friends. Then we all do it.

25. Are you the one who gets scared, or the one who does the scaring?

Both.

26. Favourite scary book?

Carrie by Stephan King.

27. How old were you when you saw your first horror movie?

I was about seven. I have my sister to thank for that.

28. What was your first Halloween costume?

The first one I remember was a unicorn. My how things have changed.

29. What are you going to be for Halloween this year?

I don’t know yet.

30. If you could have a spooky Halloween pet(black cat, owl, bat, rat, wolf, etc.) what would you pick?

As much as I would like to have a wolf as a companion, I really have to say an owl. I just really like them and it will help me feel like a witch.

And now I would like to tag all of you who are reading this who would like to do this tag to do this.

Thank you so much for joining me for day 24 of my Blogtober challenge, which is where I post a fall or Halloween themed post every day for the month of October. If you liked this you can come back here tomorrow and see what I have for you then. Or, if it’s after the 31st, all of these are up for you to look at as you see fit.

Day 23: My Favourite Costume

Halloween is right around the corner Ladies and Gentlemen. And with that comes costumes.

Today we are talking about my favourite costume, one I dressed up as otherwise, this would just be a very long cosplay list of better looking people.

If I can find a picture I’ll post it for you guys(I don’t have a picture, I’m sorry!), but allow me to set the scene for you.

My senior year of high school. I have come into my own, and want to express the artsy fartsy-ness that is me. So I decided to dress up for my school’s spirit day/costume contest day.

Now, as much as I love Halloween, I’m not one of those people who start prepping/deciding what I want to be months in advance. At the absolute earliest it will be a week before October 1st.

But this year, I decided I was going to be a china doll. Not just any china doll, a broken china doll.

My sister, who is several shades lighter than me and much more girly, allowed me to use some of her make up so I could the complexion right. A pale face with red lips, and I used liquid eyeliner to paint cracks on my temple, my cheek under my eye, and a little bit on my lip. I wasn’t as happy with how the foundation went on. I would have liked for me to be a bit paler, but because of my bad reaction to the white face paint, we had before I didn’t want to use that. I was really happy with the placement and ‘cleanness’ of my cracks.

My costume consisted of an old shirt I had ribbed up a bit and sewed ribbon, that I also tore and pulled at to make it look ratty, to the hem. And I glued a row of different ribbon a couple of inches up from the hem for design. I also distressed that.

We had gone to a thrift store and I had gotten a frilly white blouse, that looked like something a china doll would have used. I cut and distressed that too. Looking back, I should have stained it a bit too to make it look dirty.

I had black boots that I wore with it, and I got white tights that I cut holes in and made ladders in to add to the distressed look.

I wish I had like lace wrist warmers or gloves I could have worn with it too. And contacts so I could have had the full effect of the porcelain face. But what can you do?

I really liked this costume because it blurred the lines between creepy and feminine. Which I loved.

I might actually try to recreate that look better later on. I liked it that much. I have better boots I can use for it and a little better understanding of makeup and hair. Who knows, maybe by the time I do it I’ll have contacts.

So, what was your favourite costume? Let me know.

Thank you so much for joining me for day 23 of my Blogtober challenge which is where I post a fall or Halloween themed piece every day for the month of October. If you liked this, come back tomorrow and see what I have for you then. Or, if it’s after the 31st, all of these will be up for you to check out. Either way, I hope you have a great day/afternoon/evening/night, and I will see you next time.

Day 22: 10 Facts About Me

Now that I think about this, I should have planned to have this on the 10th just for OCD-ness.

I think this is a tag, but I’m not sure. Basically, from what I know you just list off 10 random things about you that are true. If this is a tag, someone please let me know so I can cite the actual source of this.

But, without further ado, 10 facts about me.

  1. I’m a Ravenclaw.
  2. I’m an Aries.
  3. I’m an Introvert
  4. I am a middle child, I have an older sister and a younger brother.
  5. My favourite holiday is Halloween(though it’s much more a season to me then it is a holiday)
  6. I will only drink coffee if it’s flavoured or has a flavoured creamer in it and lots of sugar.
  7. My favourite pokemon is Eevee.
  8. I’m dyslexic.
  9. I attended culinary school for a semester before dropping out. I found it wasn’t for me, and afterward began the pursuit of my literary career.
  10. After a bad encounter I had with a cat when I was a kid, I’m now kind of scared of/anxious about cats. Especially when their claws are out.

And there we have it. If this is a tag game then I tag all you guys reading who would like to do this. And if not, and you still want to, do it. I encourage it.

Thank you so much for joining me for day 22 of my Blogtober challenge, which is where I post a fall or Halloween themed post every day for the month of October. Again, this isn’t so much either of those, but what you gonna do? If you like this come back tomorrow and see what I have for you then. Or, if it’s after the 31st then all of these are up for you to look at if you would like.

I hope you are having a great day/afternoon/evening/night, and I will see you next time.
